Fashion Show

The elements are components or part which can be isolated and defined in any visual design or work of art.
the elements are:-
  • Point
  • Line
  • Form , space , emphasis
  • Movement
  • Color
  • Pattern
  • Texture
So as a model i have participated in the two sequences out of the four sequence  i.e. emphasis sequence and the line sequence.

EMPHASIS

  • For the emphasis the designer team have designed the garment out of muslin for all the models and to show the emphasis they have put the big red circle in the front part of the garment to make to make the emphasis on the red circle.
  •

LINE
  • Then for the elements 'line' the designer team have arrange the different kind of garments for all the models which have lines on them and to show some equality we all four models were in black and white garment , i was wearing a black and white knee length dress with horizontal line on it and to show some uniqueness we were holding a elastic ribbon in our hands.

  • After all the four sequences here comes the designer sequence presenting together with all the fashion communication classmates. We copies the style of Yohji Yamamoto and walk on the floor.

Yohji Yamamoto

We were asked to choose a designer then have to make a presentation on that and the most important thing was that we have to copy the designer's signature style.

About the designer

  • Born in 3 October 1943 in Tokyo japan. had law degree from keio university then had degree as a fashion designer from Bunka fashion college .

His rules of style

  • use black, white, grey, navy blue like a uniform because according to him colors have too many stories wrapped around it.
  • and wearing things that don't fit you perfectly, with the sleeves far too long.

'Fabric is everything. Often i tell my pattern makers. "just listen to the material". What it is going to say? just wait. Probably the material will tell you something'

  • learned so many techniques which Yamamoto uses in his garments like embroidery, knitwear, shibori and yuzen.

  • so we have tried to copy the signature style of the designer . As he mostly work with the black loose garments so i was wearing a black crop top with a black skirt and with a black loose overcoat and black stockings t give a overall look of the designer's style.

Secret World Of Haute Couture

The moment i listen the name to the movie a question arrived in my mind that " who actually buys these clothes?", the secret world of haute couture , attempts to answer the questions . like why is haute couture made, and why is it bought ? we get an inside look into the exclusive club with access to the designers and buyers of the most elite brand of fashion . the interview of exclusive designers including Valentino , karl Lagerfeld , John Galliano . my favorite part is about the last minutes , where the filmmaker tags along the haute couture shows in Paris . other highlights are seeing an old clip of Dior showing off a leopard-skin dress. Name is a major thing of haute couture designers , and the vast majority of them refuse to make themselves known.

RUNWAY

pattern often occur in nature , and artists use similar repeated motifs to create pattern in their work. pattern increases visual excitement by anriching surface intrest . repeating visual elements such as line , color , shape , texture , value or image tends to unify the total effect of a work of art as well as create rhythm. repetition can take the form of an exact duplication , a near duplication or duplication with variety i.e variations in pattern.
fashion houses are going pattern crazy. they're innovating original prints that will stand out. of course , brands like missoni and pucci build empires based o varrisions of one iconic pattern.
the opportunities afforded by vastly improved digital printing technologies allow designers to innovate while beefing up the fashion. one reason that prints have become increasingly important over the past five years is that it has became less expenssive and simpler to create them.

A online site i enjoy most.

www.jabong.com

I personally like it because i am happy and fully satisfied with the services and ya i like there offers that keep on changing according to the festivals and seasons.

the word 'fashion' is itself everything.

"Fashion". Fashion is an art , it's not something that exists in outfits only. Fashion has to do with ideas , the way we live. It isn't defined solely by our sartorial choices , but is also conveyed through the way we carry ourselves.
in the profile picture the attire of the lady is indo western as the pink cloth is inspired by indian dupatta whereas it is a short black dress. The way she is carrying her zara bag is very attractive and her heels tells even the way you walk is fashion . her gesture looks very fashionable , her hands on her chin and her lost face shows that she is in avery deep thinking, ya even this is a part of fashion.
so, in short fashion a a feast for the eyes , but ultimatly, it's an individual statement for expression for each of us.
